Smartphone’s Brand and Model- Iphone 11 128GB
I have been using it for more than four years.
Its build Quality is quite good. its tough. well, not really tougher than nokia but, does a good job in protecting itself from minor damages.
i have dropped it a lot of times, mostly from waist height. And its still there doing its job perfectly.
User Interface- Well, Android users might find it’s UI a bit difficult at first but of course, its not a rocket science. Its extremely smooth and fast. Even after more than four years, it has been working smoothly and letting my fingers glide on screen. Its been more than 4 years and it hasnt slowed down a bit. Still works smoothly as it did when i brought it.
Display/screen- The brightness is a bit low, as i’ve found. its not very bright when out in sun. sometimes i had to cover the screen to make shade with my hands to see the screen properly.
Battery Performance- Not really a fan of its battery. Battery is always an issue with iphones. The battery percentage was above 90% for 2 years. I was not using it for Heavy purpose(heavy games, etc), maybe that’s why.
Rear Camera Quality- Camera is pretty good. zoom is not very good and pixels start to break at high zoom. Camera gives the real image, not filtered one. Other smartphones usually have a inbuilt filter that makes you look more beautiful. That’s not the case with mine one. It shows you how you really are. Plus it gives more room for editing. I really like the images it captures.
Front Camera Quality- Front camera is pretty good. It doesnt come with night mode in front camera. that’s the downside of iphone 11. (iphone 12 and above have night mode in front camera)
Speaker Performance- Speakers are really good. Listening to music is a really good experience with my phone. It uses speakers plus the Phone speaker(the speaker that is used while you make calls) to give enriching 3d sound. Only downside is that its not loud enough.
Mic Performace- In my case, i didnt really liked the mic’s performance. It does a great job of cancelling noise. you can talk to other person in a windy storm and still the other person will hear you clearly. The thing i dont like is that its quality is degraded in last year. Quite a few times, i exposed my phone to slight rain. Yes slight rain, not heavy rain. Water got inside mic and it almost stopped working. I had to keep it in rice. But magically, it got ok after few days. And this has happened to me like 3-4 times. Also, it is not very sensitive. If i whisper or talk in low volume, its hard for the other person to hear clearly.
How much i paid and when- I got it for 70k INR in January 2020. I bought it from a samsung store.
Is it worth the money- Ofcourse, i paid a lot. But at that time, old iphone’s rates didnt go down when new iphones came out. Apple produts are really expensive, but the quality you get is unmatching. So, i think, Yes. Its worth the money. Wish they could provide their products for a bit cheaper.
Are Softwares Updates frequent- Yes. They keep bringing newer updates. They dont really change much, but i’m okay with that.
Any other Pros-
- Works smoothly even after 4 years.
- Shortcuts are life saver for me.
- Ram management is really good. you can have 99 percent of storage full and it still works buttery smooth.
Any other Cons-
- It doesnt come with that inbuilt wireless charging magnetic ring. It does support wireless charging though.
- It doesnt have night mode in front camera.
- Doesnt come with dedicated sd card slot. but you can buy adapters that work fine and are cheap.
- Doesnt come with fingerprint sensor.
- face Recognisation works fine. But i’ve been facing few issues with face recognisation. Sometimes it doesnt work. And its not really as sensitive as it was when i bought it. But Its ok.
- The earpiece (one we use while being on call) is not very loud. Sometimes i have to push it more in my ear to hear the other person when its noisy.
