My four years review of mi 3i 20000 mah powerbank

Device’s Brand and Model- Mi 3i 20000 mah power back with fast charging 18W

For how long, you’ve been using this device?- For around 4 years

Build Qualtiy- Its heavy and nice textured. Has good grip.

Battery Performance- It claims to give 20000 mah, but it gives around 14k-15k for backup. And usually that’s the case with all powerbanks. They dont give exact as is mentioned. I’m happy with the battery backup it gives.

How much you paid and when?- Paid 1400 in october 2020.

Is it worth the money?- yes, i think.

Pros-

  1. Even after 4 years of use, its still giving quite good battery backup.
  2. You can charge two devices at the same time. you can also charge a third one, but for that you’ll need USB C to USB C cable, that we don’t usually keep with ourselves.
  3. It has 18W fast charging, and can fast charge devices that support fast charging it. note that it wont fast charge devices which dont come with fast charging feature.
  4. It has 4 LED that indicates the battery left.
  5. There is also an option of low charging. I’m not sure if that’s the correct word for that. This feature is for charging devices that requires low current to charge, like earphones, etc. For that you need to press the side button twice and led will blink slowly (indicating that the mode is on)

Cons-

  1. Bulky and big. Takes much space (i think that might be normal for 20k mah powerbank. But still a cons.
  2. You can only use fast charging with single device. The moment you connect two devices at once, fast charging will stop and only normal charging will continue.
  3. I’m currently facing a issue. Once it got discharged completely and then it wasnt getting charged at all. It happened after 3 years of use. I was using a regular charge. Then i tried my redme’s 22.5 watt charger and it was getting charged. So at present it doesn’t get charged with regular charged and requires a fast charger to get charged. Nowadays everybody is using a fast charger, so maybe this point doesnt matter at all. i dont know. Up to you to decide.

Final Verdict- I think its a really good powerbank. You must avoid discharging it completely. I never faced any overheating issue or any problem charging my smartphones, earphones, etc.

Would you recommend it?- Yes i will recommend it.
